Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Rubick Chrome Extension, MCP server, backend API, website (rubick.fyi), and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Rubick ("we", "our", or "us"). By installing the extension, creating an account, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Rubick is a context-injection layer for AI assistants. The Service indexes content from third-party sources you connect (such as Google Drive and Notion) into a private vector store and uses it to enrich prompts you send to AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Cursor). The Service is currently in beta and may change without notice.

2. Eligibility & Account

• You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service.
• You authenticate via Google OAuth. You are responsible for the security of your Google account and any activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate information and notify us promptly of any unauthorized access (akhay4v.b@gmail.com).

3. Your Content & Data

• You retain all rights to the content the Service indexes from your connected sources ("Your Content").
• You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to access, copy, process, store, and transmit Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you.
• We will not sell Your Content. We will not use Your Content to train AI models.
• You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to grant us access to Your Content (for example, that you are not connecting an account whose data you do not own or have permission to use).
• Detailed handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to violate any law or third-party right, including intellectual property and privacy rights.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except where this restriction is prohibited by law.
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without our prior written permission.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
• Use the Service to transmit malware, spam, or any unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or fraudulent content.
• Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercialize the Service without our written permission.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

• The Service offers a Free tier and paid tiers (Pro, Power). Current pricing is shown on rubick.fyi/#pricing.
• Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. Charges are non-refundable except where required by law. You can cancel anytime from the extension popup; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Free tier usage limits and paid tier features may change. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes.
• If you fail to pay or your payment method fails, we may suspend or downgrade your access until the issue is resolved.

6. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers including Google APIs, OpenAI, Stripe, Railway, and PostHog. Your use of those providers' services is also governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party providers, including outages, changes to their APIs, or changes to their terms.

7. Beta Status & Changes

The Service is offered as a beta product. Features may be added, modified, or removed at any time. We may temporarily suspend or permanently discontinue the Service or any feature. We will give reasonable notice when practical, but we are not obligated to maintain backward compatibility during beta.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, brand, and documentation, is owned by Rubick and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. No other rights are granted.

9. Termination

• You may stop using the Service and delete your data at any time from the extension popup.
• We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if continuing to provide the Service to you would expose us to legal or security risk.
• On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections 3 (Your Content), 8 (IP), 10 (Disclaimers), 11 (Liability), and 13 (Governing Law) survive termination.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. AI-GENERATED OUTPUTS MAY BE INACCURATE OR INCOMPLETE; YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR INDEPENDENTLY VERIFYING ANY OUTPUT BEFORE RELYING ON IT.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL RUBICK BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) USD 50.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Rubick harmless from any claim, damage, or cost (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of (a) Your Content, (b) your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or applicable law, or (c) your violation of any third-party right.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms will be resolved in the courts of Almaty, Kazakhstan, except that we may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated via the extension or email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
